JMB designs have transformed commercial & residential spaces in NY & CA for over 20 yrs. Jacqueline creates spaces that fit clients’ needs, budgets and vision. Her Design Sense: SIMPLE ELEGANCE
Jacqueline studied at Ohio University under Frank Ching, author of Building Construction Illustrated and Architecture: Form, Space & Order and winner of the AIA 2007 Honors for Collaborative Achievement. Berg, a sought-after expert in interior design, recently presented a lecture on design trends to 200 art students at the School of Art and Communication at Beijing Institute of Graphic Communications in China.
Her work as a textile artist has taken her to the Vatican, England, Sweden, Scotland, Germany, Canada and China. She has exhibited and lectured at the Smithsonian Institute’s Renwick Gallery. Berg realized years ago, that textile art and photography can be used to complement other furnishings. These works can enhance residential and commercial interiors to make every client’s space unique. (Enlarge St. James Place Quilt in Context of Interior.
Just as Berg finds art that complements interiors, she also selects furnishings that work with a building’s design era. She works in such diverse historical settings as California’s Mid-Century Modern Eichler homes to early twentieth century New York commercial office and residential spaces.
Internationally recognized designer, Jacqueline M. Berg, is as diverse as she is talented. She has taken classic interior design techniques and merged them with an understanding of textile art and photography. She brings a unique look to each of her clients’ spaces, while preserving the nearly universal desires for simplicity, elegance, and sophistication.
